Deliciously creamy no-bake Italian dessert in 30 minutes.
What are Savoiardi / Ladyfingers?
A sweet, dry and finger-shaped sponge biscuit.
- Whip 250 ml cream with ¾ cup white sugar.
- Gently fold 500 gr mascarpone into the cream mixture until well blended.
Tips: make sure you begin to whip the cream slowly and gradually increase the speed as it will last for more days in your fridge. Use a spatula to fold ingredients gently.
- Prepare a 6 cup ‘caffettiera/moka’ of coffee, pour into a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of white sugar. Allow to cool.
Tip: dilute with milk if you like.
- Add a dash of Grand Marnier / Rum to the coffee.
Tip: Grand Marnier / Rum add a special flavour to this dessert, but you can skip it if you like.
- Spread the first layer of the tiramisu cream mixture in a pan.
- Quickly dip, don’t soak the savoiardi in the coffee and line on the cream. Repeat 3 or 4 layers.
- Dust with cocoa powder using a sifter.
- Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
